”The Potential of Agriculture – derived Decarbonization Projects Thailand”
Green Carbon Inc (CEO: Jun Okita, hereinafter referred to as “Green Carbon”) is pleased to announce that on Oct 25- 27(local time), we have exhibited in the Japan pavilion and participated as a panel speaker at the “Thailand Space Week 2023”, Asia’s largest space related event organized by GIATDA (Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency).
◆ Participation in Thailand Space Week 2023 *1
This event is held by GISTDA with the aim to acerate utilizing space technologies and capabilities to generate value across diverse sectors and Industries. The event was attended by a total of 12,000 people (offline / online), including Thailand government officials, and space ventures around the world invited by the organizer. The presentation also included examples of government and industry initiatives.
Green Carbon is under study with JAXA*2 to use satellite data for on-site project monitoring. We have been developing projects such as methane gas reduction in rice paddies mainly in Southeast Asia (currently in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Bangladesh).
On the day of the event, we introduced our study overview and the potential of agriculture-derived decarbonization projects at a session under the theme of “Space Technology × City Development,”.
In the future, Green Carbon will not limit itself to the Philippines, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, but will continue to demonstrate methane gas reduction and carbon credit generation in fields in Thailand, as well as collaborate with local universities and research institutions.
