◆Introduction to Green Career Academy
While the terms GX and decarbonization are being heard more frequently, many people may feel unsure about where to begin learning or how these topics relate to their own work and career paths. For companies as well, developing “GX talent” — professionals capable of driving and executing Green Transformation initiatives — has become a significant challenge. However, there are currently very few learning tools that provide structured, practical education on GX and decarbonization at an operational level. In response, Green Carbon, a decarbonization specialist, has developed Green Career Academy, a video-based learning platform dedicated to GX and decarbonization. The platform enables users to efficiently learn — even in short intervals — from the latest GX and decarbonization trends to practical knowledge applicable in real-world business settings. We are pleased to announce the launch of a free trial, expanding access to GX knowledge across Japan.

◆Background Behind the Launch of Green Career Academy
According to estimates by Mitsubishi Research Institute, approximately 2.66 million new GX-related jobs are expected to be created in Japan between 2020 and 2035. As the transition toward a decarbonized society accelerates, there is a significant shortage of professionals capable of driving GX initiatives, and the value of individuals with GX expertise is projected to rise substantially. Furthermore, the GX talent market is estimated (by Green Carbon) to reach approximately JPY 1.8 trillion per year by 2025, with continued rapid expansion anticipated.
At the same time, many companies and individuals face challenges such as insufficient foundational knowledge of decarbonization, difficulty in developing GX leaders, lack of structured knowledge-sharing systems, and limited capacity to respond to evolving disclosure requirements, regulations, and international policy frameworks.
To address these issues, Green Carbon—professionals in the fields of decarbonization, GX, and carbon credits—has developed Green Career Academy, a structured video-based learning platform that enables anyone to acquire practical, field-ready knowledge alongside the latest industry developments. By providing a service that allows users to efficiently gain specialized expertise in a short period of time, we aim to accelerate the development of GX talent.

◆Future Developments and Service Implementation Plans
Companies today are required to respond to increasingly complex decarbonization-related disclosure requirements, regulatory frameworks, and international policy systems across multiple jurisdictions. As expectations from investors, regulators, and global markets continue to intensify, building internal capabilities to manage compliance and strategic GX execution has become a critical management priority.
Green Career Academy is evolving beyond an individual learning platform into a foundational infrastructure supporting GX talent development across Japan.
For large corporations, the Academy serves as a corporate training solution to enhance organization-wide GX and decarbonization literacy, strengthening internal capabilities at scale.
In collaboration with municipalities and regional banks, the Academy will not only elevate GX knowledge among public officials and banking professionals but also help disseminate practical GX concepts and implementation know-how to small and medium-sized enterprises within local communities.
Through partnerships with universities, the Academy will be integrated into academic courses and educational programs to cultivate the next generation of GX-ready talent.
By fostering collaboration across industry, government, and academia, Green Career Academy aims to build a comprehensive GX talent development ecosystem—providing strong human capital support for Japan’s transition to a decarbonized society.

The company is also engaged in agriculture-related businesses, R&D initiatives, and ESG consulting. Its business activities span Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and South America, creating credits from rice paddies, biochar, forest conservation, carbon farming, mangrove planting, and cattle methane reduction.
