As momentum toward decarbonization continues to accelerate globally, the Carbon Credits Journal Forum has been designed as a platform for practical, business-driven discussions.
The Forum shines a spotlight on large corporations, local governments, government-related organizations, and startups engaged in the creation, utilization, investment, and institutional design of carbon credits, bringing together diverse stakeholders to exchange real-world insights.
More than 500 leading decarbonization players from Japan and abroad will convene at the Forum, co-hosted by Green Carbon and Carbon Credits Journal, a specialized media platform dedicated to the carbon credit sector, to engage in meaningful dialogue on the future of carbon credits.
Through one of Japan’s largest carbon credit–focused forums, the Carbon Credits Journal Forum, we aim to contribute to the advancement and acceleration of decarbonization efforts across Japan.

The Forum will begin with an opening address by Green Carbon Inc., the organizer of the Carbon Credits Journal Forum.

He founded Green Carbon Inc., a company specializing in the creation and sales support of nature-based carbon credits, and currently serves as its Representative Director.
He has led multiple carbon credit development projects in collaboration with leading overseas universities, including the creation of voluntary carbon credits and projects utilizing the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM). He has also participated in COP29 and COP30, contributing to global discussions on carbon credits and decarbonization.
Through these initiatives, he aims to establish Green Carbon as a globally recognized leader in the green and decarbonization sector representing Japan.

She joined the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) in 1994. She holds an MBA from Cornell University (United States).
Throughout her career, she has held a wide range of senior positions, including Director of the Food Industry Corporate Behavior Office at MAFF, Planning Officer at the International Public Relations Office of the Prime Minister’s Office, Director of the Rural Policy Promotion Office, Director of the Food Culture and Market Development Division, Director of the International Policy Division at the Minister’s Secretariat, and Director-General for Administration at the Livestock Industry Bureau.
From 2022, she served as a Cabinet Councillor at the Cabinet Secretariat (attached to the Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary), where she was responsible for initiatives such as the Digital Garden City Nation Initiative, digital administrative and fiscal reform, and regional revitalization through the SDGs.
Since July 2024, in her current role, she has been promoting agricultural, forestry, and fisheries policy from an environmental perspective, advancing initiatives related to biodiversity, Green Transformation (GX), and the circular economy. She also plays a central role in implementing Japan’s Green Food System Strategy, which aims to simultaneously enhance productivity and sustainability across the food, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors—targeting net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2050 through innovation.

After graduating from Keio University in 2005, he joined the Japan Agricultural News. As a reporter, he served at the Tohoku branch office, covered the National Diet, was the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries beat reporter, the farming beat reporter, and the beat reporter for the investigative reporting team “Farmers’ Special Report Team” using LINE. He became Deputy Director of the Digital Innovation Office (now the Solutions Business Division) in February 2024. In July 2024, he was appointed Secretary-General upon the establishment of the “Midori GX Lab” consortium, which aims for sustainable food and agriculture. He received the 2025 Climate Change Action Award from the Minister of the Environment through this consortium. Assigned to the Kyoto Mechanism Promotion Office (then) within the Bureau of Industrial Technology and Environment in 2010. After handling market mechanisms (Kyoto Mechanism, Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM)), he was seconded to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat (market mechanisms division) and has since been engaged in international relations work on climate change and energy. Currently responsible for climate change negotiations (COP), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the JCM, and the Clean Energy Initiative for ASEAN (CEFIA), a public-private cooperation initiative in the clean energy sector.

Engaged in policy formulation primarily in the fields of environment, technology, and international affairs. Completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Washington’s School of Public Policy in 2012. Worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific from 2015 to 2017. Upon returning to Japan, handled trade negotiations such as the Japan-U.S. Trade Agreement, CPTPP, and RCEP, as well as smart agriculture policy. Assumed current position in July 2024. Under the Green Food System Strategy, promotes climate change countermeasures and biodiversity conservation initiatives in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. Attended COP29 and COP30 on climate change. Building on discussions at COP30, currently focuses on overseas deployment of Japan’s decarbonization technologies and promoting investment through public-private partnerships.
