Q. Please give us a brief introduction of yourself, including your career history.

Hi, my name is Linda Yamada, and I’m currently a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Tsukuba, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Arts and Science with a focus on Global Issues and Public Health. I’ve always been passionate about understanding social and health challenges, and my academic journey has allowed me to explore topics like migration, community health, and international development. Growing up in both Bangladesh and Japan, I’ve developed a multicultural perspective that helps me connect with diverse people and ideas.

In terms of experience, I’ve been actively involved in student organizations and volunteer roles that helped me build skills in coordination, communication, and event management. I’ve served as Vice President of the South Asian Association at my university, organized multicultural events, and worked as a teaching assistant at various schools, where I helped facilitate sessions and manage activities for different age groups. These experiences have strengthened my ability to work with teams, manage logistics, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, preparing me for professional roles in development, education, and public health.

Q. What kind of work are you involved in? Please tell us about your job responsibilities?

At Green Carbon, I mainly work as a Data & Research Analyst Intern, where I help track project progress, collect and verify data, and make sure everything is accurate and organized. I coordinate with different teams to keep projects on schedule and support approval workflows by preparing clear reports and summaries. I also maintain structured documentation so that everything is easy to access and audit-ready. Basically, I help the team stay on top of project details and make sure our data is reliable for decision-making.

Q. What made you want to work at Green Carbon?

I wanted to work at Green Carbon because I’m really interested in environmental projects and
wanted to see how data can help fight climate change. I also thought it would be a great place
to learn practical skills while contributing to meaningful work.

Q. What do you find rewarding about your work?

What I find rewarding about my work at Green Carbon is seeing how the data I help organize
and analyze actually supports real projects that make a difference for the environment. I also enjoy learning new skills every day and collaborating with different teams to solve problems
together.

Q. What challenges have you faced so far?

One challenge I’ve faced at Green Carbon is keeping track of multiple project timelines and data inputs at the same time, especially when different teams are working on overlapping tasks. I’ve had to quickly learn how to stay organized and communicate clearly to make sure nothing falls behind.

Q. Finally, please give a message to those who want to work at GreenCarbon.

If you’re thinking about working at Green Carbon, I’d say go for it! It’s a really good place to learn how a company actually runs its projects, especially when it comes to data, research, and sustainability work. You get to work with people from different teams, and it really teaches you how to stay organized, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly. Honestly, even as a student, I felt like I was contributing to something meaningful while building skills I know will help me in the future. It’s challenging at times, but totally worth it.
