Q. Please give us a brief introduction of yourself, including your career history.

My name is Faye Alexandrea. I was born and raised in Indonesia before I decided to step out of my comfort zone and continue my studies in Japan at Ritsumeikan APU, where I majored in International Management with a focus on Marketing.

During university, I discovered my passion for market research and business development through experiences like participating in the business competition and in a class that collaborated with a Japanese compact equipment and recreation company. These experiences taught me how to analyze markets and develop ideas that can drive business growth, which then I grew my interest in it.

Outside of academics, I am passionate about cultural experiences. I joined the Yosakoi dance circle to learn Japanese dance culture, and I also helped making music arrangements for Indonesian week at APU multicultural week, to share my culture with the campus community.

I started my internship at Green Carbon this May, and that’s where I realized my career journey began. I am excited to keep learning and contributing to Green Carbon.

Q. What kind of work are you involved in? Please tell us about your job responsibilities.

Currently, I am working as a part of the Global Sourcing Unit, in the Survey and Validation Team. My main responsibilities involve research tasks, such as market research for project feasibility, making baseline reports, and enquiry sheets for validating projects. Besides, I also work on tasks involving proposal writing for new methodology development and funding programs. Recently, I have also been involved in creating pitch deck slides, which demonstrate Green Carbon’s initiatives, including the project portfolio and Agreen.

These experiences have taught me many things, and I appreciate the opportunity that even as an intern, I was trusted with responsibilities that had a meaningful impact on the company’s growth. While working on market research, I was able to deepen my interest in sustainability practices, which I’m excited to continue learning and pursuing in my future career.
