We are pleased to announce that we have signed a distributor and sales partner agreement in Japan with EKI Energy Services Ltd. of India (Mr. Manish Dabkara, Chairman & MD, hereinafter referred to as EKI (read: EKI Energy Services)), a global carbon credit developer. EKI is the first company in India to be accredited with Verra credits and has offset more than 200 million tons of carbon dioxide. We offer sustainable solutions for climate change and carbon offsets that meet global standards such as CDM, VCS, Gold Standard, GCC, IREC, and TIGR.
◆Background of the Distribution Partner Agreement
Recently, there have been many efforts by environmentally conscious companies to develop carbon neutral products, which require a large amount of carbon credits. However, most carbon credits are traded on a project-by-project, relative basis, and the uncertainty of volume and price assumptions has been an obstacle to market expansion. In addition to our business of creating nature-based carbon credits, we are also working with carbon credit developers in South America and Asia to provide transparent and additional1 credits to domestic businesses. By forming a partnership with EKI, the first company in India to be certified by Verra2, a U.S. certification body, and which has provided a cumulative total of more than 200 million tons of carbon credits, we will promote carbon neutrality among Japanese companies and, by extension, contribute to global decarbonization.
